Uh-Mayzing vid on milkweed, monarchs & more in Yosemite & beyond

 Holy cow.

Another gem produced by Steve Bumgardner.

SO, so great.

Give yourself a treat for 7 minutes. You deserve it. =)

AND a TIMELY REMINDER for me to PLANT
my must-be-planted-in-fall (native to CA) milkweed seeds.

Cannot WAIT to see milkweed in our garden next year--HOORAY!!

Huge thanks to Steve & Erik & everyone involved for this GREAT short film.

*sigh*

  1. I've had a patch of milkweed growing in my garden for the past 5 years. I cannot imagine NOT having it. It not only attracts pollinators, it seems to be a magnet for all the PESTS of the garden too---which keeps the buggers OFF my vegetables--a bonus I could not have imagined when I let that patch start. What a treat for an organic gardener, such as myself.
So-I hope your patch of milkweed you are planting thrives. Your garden will thank you-as well as the pollinators!

  3. wow that is magnificent

I need to remind myself to go over to eastern Washington ( Moses Lake) where I found milkweed going to seed and capture their visitors of the Spring
