the many faces of our lawn...

One of the many benefits of having a (largely) native, non-lawn-enforcement landscape; diversity (a.k.a. entertainment value).

Lilliputian forest.

Tangled up in blue.

Red clover variant, and friends.

Bear-clover (a.k.a. mountain misery), Chamaebatia foliolosa.

Young beneficiary of our no pesticides policy, perched on non-native red-stemmed filaree. This and the 8,000,000 other bugs I get to see each year.
