Not the best photos in the world, but it was avoiding me and it was pretty small (maybe less than 2cm long?). Pretty cool little creature, though, so I'm glad I pursued the random small brown thing flitting by.
Looks like a pretty shaggy beast, but stylishly attired.
Thoughts? Theories? Wild guesses?

eeek. Well, it doesn't jump right out at me, but I'm also pretty new to the Sierran moth fauna. I'll have to sleep on it and see if the sage moth gods revel an answer. The angle is also kinda ambiguous...

Perhaps today I'll post a pic of a GORgeous white moth I spotted while running an errand on the way to Yosemite Valley... Thanks for that link!
