At one point yesterday, Bear parked in the high country in Yosemite NP for a conference call, and I got out for a short walk.
Then it started dripping.
Then, a light shower.
(Managed this shot hiding under a tree)
Then, RAIN and thunder.
Rain I can hang out with. Lightning? Time to head for shelter.
Rain I can hang out with. Lightning? Time to head for shelter.
So, after skittering back to the car...
(my "rain pants")
... the pretty-loud-rain turned into VERY-LOUD-HAIL, so it was all I could do to not laugh out loud as Bear TRIED to hear the conversations via cell phone in the WORLD'S LOUDEST HONDA. =)
Like sitting in an aluminum can in a pebble storm.

I love nature.
It cracks me up.
It cracks me up.
It just doesn't care.
It doesn't care who you are, or what you're doing.
It will do what it will do.
That is also why it can be scary.
But, yesterday, it made me laugh.

This is out of the blue (haha), but are your orange "rain pants" Royal Robbins?
ReplyDelete=) Hee. No, Prana. Apparently not EVERYONE is psyched to wear ORANGE pants, but I was, so got them very much on sale. =) Actually, I have 2 pairs.
ReplyDeleteThe reason why I asked is because I have a pair just that shade of orange with light colored stitching. It kinda freaked me out when I was reading through your blog.
ReplyDelete=) That's funny. Guess they're targeting nature chicks? =)
