Well, I can tell you the genus: Amsinckia (see http://www.calflora.org/cgi-bin/specieslist.cgi?orderby=taxon&where-genus=Amsinckia) for the gory detail. There's 12 species in California, and tho' I think I MIGHT figure it out, it'd take a bit of time, and my kitchen is still a mess. =)
I CAN tell you those flowers are (at least at this stage) REALLY small, so I expect they're not Amsinckia grandiflora (large-flowered fiddleneck). =) If you're psyched to figure it out, lemmeno & I'll give you more detail.
